Our Beginners Learn to Ride sessions are fun, relaxed lessons for children who’d like to learn how to ride their bike without stabilisers. This session is for those who can’t ride at all or who are still very wobbly when trying to ride without support.
Open to ages 4 – 11 and group sizes will be kept small, so everyone gets the maximum benefit from the session. (Please be aware though, there will be up to a maximum of 3 children per instructor, these aren’t one to one lessons).
You’ll need to bring along your child’s pedal bike (without stabilisers). Helmets and balance bikes for practise will be provided. Please let us know if your child’s bike is unsuitable when booking and they can borrow one of ours.
It’s up to you whether you stay at the session or not. From past experience however, we find that children tend to make much better progress when parents don’t stay.
Cost: £12 / child
Session length: 1 hour 15 mins
After booking, you’ll receive an infomation form with all the details you’ll need for the day. Please feel free to contact us in the meantime with any questions – email@example.com
All Cycle Leeds sessions are led by our fully qualified and experienced National Standards cycling instructors.
“Please can you pass on our thanks to the guys who took the ride a bike training at Carr Manor over half term? They were patient, encouraging and so positive, that my daughter was riding by the end of the session”.
“Just wanted to say a massive thank you for my son’s learn to ride session yesterday. He came back from his lesson full of confidence and we have spent all weekend cycling in the park. He absolutely loves it!”.
“I was blown away by how quickly my daughter got riding! She’s always struggled with her balancing, so the balance bikes really helped. The look of pride on her face at the end was lovely. Huge thanks to your fantastic instructor team!”
